The Saint Pius X Parish Education Center provides a new facility for elementary school education as well as the expanding needs of a growing community. The two-story structure houses 19 classrooms for children from preschool level to eighth grade, with many of the same spaces serving for adult religious education at night.
The design created by ADG blends the new construction with the existing styles of the Church and Parish Offices, as well as the residential feel of the adjacent single-family lots. ADG took care to include religious symbols and texts throughout the building. Included in the 56,000 SF building are school offices, a computer cluster, seminar and small meeting spaces, a competition size gymnasium, team meeting rooms and a fitness balcony. A double height library occupies the most dramatic space in the building and sits atop the central gathering space on the ground floor. The vision of the Campus included new parking around the site, multiple paths for foot travel, and future competition/practice fields for the congregation members to play and compete in the coming years. Construction was completed in 2008.
